Parking on the pavements:
Over the last couple of days, a number of Fixed Penalty Notices have been issued to vehicles parked on pavements and causing unnecessary obstructions to pedestrians, parents with prams and wheelchair users.
Parking in this manner forces vulnerable road users onto busy roads, placing them at risk from passing traffic.
Please do not put yourself in a position where enforcement action becomes necessary. Be considerate when parking and help keep everyone safe.
Always remember that pavements are for people, not vehicles, unless signage states otherwise.
